Things To Do In Visalia, CA

Visalia is considered the "Gateway to the Sequoias" as it sits nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The Central Valley bodes quaintness where you will find hidden cornerstone gems you won't find in the city.

Known for its fresh farm cuisine, agricultural richness, and its small town charm, we hope that you enjoy Visalia and the surrounding Central Valley area as much as we have grown to over the years together.

Sequoia National Park

One of nine national parks in CA

Sequoia National Park is named for earth's largest living things - Sequoiadendron giganteum, or giant sequoias. Their massive, cinnamon-hued trunks and stout limbs soar skyward only here, on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada range, between 5,000 and 8,200 feet. (Taller and more slender, coast redwoods grow only on a narrow strip along the Pacific Coast.)

Gaze at the General Sherman Tree, hike on trails including Big Trees Trail and Tokopah Falls Trail, and take in spectacular views from Moro Rock!

If you are planning a trip to Sequoia National Park, plan allocating one day for this venture. It takes approximately 45-60 minutes to get to the entrance of the park and then another hour or so to get into the park.

Three Rivers

Visit Kaweah Lake

Three Rivers is a small, creative Sierra Nevada foothill village, with businesses and residences following the five forks of the Kaweah River.

If you don't feel like making the trek to Sequoia National Park, Three Rivers is a shorter destination and there's plenty of nature to take in still. It's a little town with destinations to eat, fish, and swim.
